How to commission a portrait!
1. Email the.dana.o@gmail.com to start the conversation! Share a reference image and any information you have about how you want it to look, such as medium, size, and deadline.
2. Not sure what you want yet? That’s cool -- we can figure it out together :)
3. Send your 50% deposit via Venmo to @bleakstagram and I’ll start work! Turnaround time will be based primarily on scale and medium.
4. Once the painting is ready to ship, you’ll get a message from me with a photo (unless you want it to be a surprise reveal!!) Just send the remaining balance and shipping cost.
5. Enjoy your portrait!!
Pricing
(*Sliding scale available for QTPOC and poor people - basically, if price is an issue, let’s chat about it.)
Watercolor & Pencil on paper
(any size ... within reason) $100 + shippingTurnaround time: 1-2 weeks from final reference.
Rush fee (1 week or less) +$50
Oil Painting
Regular - up to 18”x24” - $200Large - 24”x36” - $300
XL - above 36” any dimension - $400 + (let’s talk about these!!)
Turnaround time: 2-4 weeks from final reference. (more for big boys.)
Rush services are not available for oil painting due to drying times.
Digital
$100Turnaround time: 1-2 weeks from final reference.
Rush fee (1 week or less) +$50
Work comes unframed/matted.
Local pickup is available for folks in the Brooklyn area.
My pricing is based on labor and time required to create each work. Watercolor and pencil is the quickest process given the nature of the medium. Oil painting takes longer - sometimes taking days between layers to dry! A digital portrait can sometimes take as much time as a small oil painting.
